A severe blast occurred at around 10:30 local time at a chemical plant owned by Qiantai New Material in the city of Guixi in the southeastern part of China’s Jiangxi province. Following the explosion, a dense cloud of smoke covered the sky. No deaths or injuries have been reported at the facility so far. The cause of the explosion is not yet known.

US President Donald Trump met British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at his country residence, Chequers, on the second day of his UK visit. The leaders held a private meeting expected to focus on technology investments, tariff cuts, and the wars in Ukraine and Gaza. A joint press conference is scheduled to follow.
