The Arhavi district of Artvin was paralyzed by floods and inundations following heavy rainfall that began yesterday afternoon. Rainfall of 174 kilograms per square meter caused severe flooding in some areas and a main road leading to multiple villages collapsed. Buildings in risky areas were evacuated. No deaths or injuries have been reported yet.
In 2021, the city received 180 kilograms of rain per square meter, and 1 person died in the floods.
