Floods and landslides occurred after heavy rains that lasted for two days, causing chaos in the states of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana in India. Many houses were flooded, and some cars on the streets were submerged in water. Twenty people died. Indian officials said that the rains would continue in the coming days and that the Yamuna River in the north of the country may overflow.
The storm was recorded as the biggest in the country for 41 years.
