Since June 23, Chile has experienced severe floods due to heavy rain. Six people are missing, and at least two deaths have been recorded. The Valparaíso, Santiago Metropolitan Region, O’Higgins, Maule, Ñuble, Biobío, and Araucanía areas have all been seriously damaged, according to officials from Chile’s disaster service. Up to 5,000 individuals have been left homeless as a result of the destruction of 54 homes and damage to 2,700 dwellings.
