A severe storm hit the La Chaux-de-Fonds region in Switzerland, reaching wind speeds of 217 kilometers per hour. The storm caused significant damage, including uprooted trees, knocked down power poles, and blown-off roofs of a church, school, and 15 houses. Tragically, one person died due to a crane overturning at a construction site, and at least 15 others were injured and taken to the hospital. The storm also affected eastern France, where approximately 30 houses were damaged in the Doubs region. Cleanup and recovery efforts began after the storm subsided.
