Severe Turbulence on Singapore Airlines Flight Causes Fatality

A Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300ER, carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members, encountered severe turbulence, resulting in one fatality. Flight SQ321, en route from London Heathrow to Singapore on May 20, was diverted to Bangkok, landing at 15:45 local time on May 21. The airline confirmed the incident, expressing condolences to the deceased passenger’s family and prioritizing assistance for all passengers and crew.

The statement emphasized collaboration with Thai authorities to provide necessary medical aid, with a team dispatched to Bangkok for additional support. Local reports indicated that at least 30 passengers were injured during the turbulence.
