The leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and former Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was re-elected as the prime minister of Pakistan by receiving 201 votes in the parliamentary vote.
The parliament members of the Sunni Alliance Council Party staged a protest before the voting in the parliament, chanting for former PM Imran Khan’s release, and reiterating the allegations that Shahbaz Sharif had rigged the elections.
