Sheep and goats in the town of Kamenica, located on the border with Serbia in Kosovo, are playing a unique role in keeping solar panels clean. Arbir Malici, the owner of a solar farm in Rogane village, faced challenges with grass accumulating around the panels. In a clever solution, Maliçi partnered with a shepherd to address the issue.
The shepherd took on the task of clearing the grass that workers found difficult to remove manually. By allowing more than 100 sheep and goats to graze around the solar panels three to four days a week, the shepherd successfully ensured their cleanliness. This arrangement has helped maintain optimal performance of the solar panels.
