Sirens were heard in Ukraine’s port city Odessa. The explosions caused a brief panic in the city center after the Ukrainian army’s air defense systems destroyed an unidentified aircraft detected off the coast of Odessa. Following the sound of sirens, the residents of the city took shelters.

Israel began deporting activists from the Madleen ship carrying aid to Gaza. Greta Thunberg, 22, was sent back to Sweden via France. One French citizen was deported, while five others who refused to sign deportation papers will appear before an Israeli judge. The group of 12 activists, including two Turks, is being held near Tel Aviv.
