The first version of the ‘Sky Observation Festival’ has started in Balıkesir’s Sarıcaova Plateau, one of the less light-polluted areas of Türkiye. On the first day of the festival, children were given training on the science of the sky, and fun games were held. As it got dark, the lights were turned off and the sky was viewed. Some observed the planets with a telescope, while others took pictures of the magnificent sky. The festival will continue until August 13 with various trainings and sky observation activities for children and adults.
