A Lanhsa Airlines plane crashed into the sea shortly after takeoff from Roatan Island, Honduras, killing 12 people, including musician Aurelio Martinez Suazo. The aircraft, carrying 18 people, was en route to La Ceiba when it went down near the Caribbean coast.
Rescue teams recovered five survivors, while one person remains missing. Initial investigations suggest a mechanical failure in the British-made Jetstream aircraft. Search efforts continue.
