A single-engine plane crashed alongside the I-40 highway in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, transforming into a fireball. Responding swiftly, police, ambulance, and fire brigades were deployed to the scene. Tragically, all five individuals aboard the plane lost their lives, as confirmed by the Metro Nashville Police Department. The incident unfolded after the pilot sought emergency landing clearance at John C. Tune Airport due to reported engine and electrical failure around 19:40 on Monday. Despite efforts, the pilot conveyed their inability to reach the runway to the air traffic controller, leading to the fatal crash.
At least 34 people have died in floods and landslides caused by four days of heavy rain in India’s Sikkim state. Tourists stranded in the area are being evacuated. Army rescue teams have also been deployed in Meghalaya and Manipur. The Meteorological Department warned of increasing rainfall.
