Smog has reduced visibility and disrupted traffic and air travel in Pakistan’s Punjab region. The majority of international and domestic flights at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal Airport were canceled today, local sources reported. Flights from Riyadh and Istanbul to Lahore were delayed by eight hours, while flights from Jeddah and Dubai were suspended. The visibility in the Farooqabad district of Punjab was reduced to 10 meters, causing traffic disruptions. The low visibility in Pakistan’s Daska city made transportation difficult for residents.

Hundreds of thousands of Iranians took to the streets after Friday prayers to protest Israel’s recent attacks on the country. The largest gatherings occurred in the capital, Tehran, where demonstrators marched following prayers at Tehran University.
High-ranking officials, including Iran’s Constitutional Court head Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei and former IRGC commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, joined the protest. Participants waved Iranian, Palestinian, and resistance group flags, and trampled on Israeli and US flags laid on the ground.
Protesters held banners reading “Down with Israel”, “Down with the US”, and “The Zionist regime will be destroyed”, while chanting slogans such as “We stand behind our leader”, “Everyone who clashed with Khamenei will eventually be destroyed”, and “Our right to nuclear weapons”.
