The Istanbul Governor’s Office announced that snowfall affecting the city’s northern districts has led to a one-day suspension of education in Başakşehir, Beylikdüzü, Esenyurt, Sultangazi, Beykoz, Avcılar, and Arnavutköy.

Authorities stated that snowfall is not impacting the southern and central districts, so citywide school closures are not necessary. Local health boards were given the authority to decide on suspensions based on conditions in affected areas.
