Snowdrops blooming around Keşiş (Turna) Lake at 2,550 meters altitude on Erek Mountain’s slopes are drawing visitors with breathtaking views. Located in Van’s Gürpınar district, the lake—believed to have been formed by Urartian King Rusa II—offers a striking landscape of green, blue, and floral colors.

Covering 4 square kilometers, the lake holds 20 million cubic meters of water and attracts nature lovers with hiking, rock climbing, canoeing, and birdwatching. The blooming snowdrops, visible with the melting snow, have made the area a favorite for those seeking nature and tranquility.
