Heavy snowfall hit Edirne, Türkiye, in the evening as a cold air wave from the Balkans swept across the region, covering the city in white. Historic landmarks, including the UNESCO-listed Selimiye Mosque, created postcard-like scenes, drawing residents and tourists outdoors.
The Edirne governor’s office banned motorcycles, electric scooters, and courier bikes from roads from 09:30 until further notice due to safety concerns. Education was suspended for one day in the Keşan and Uzunköprü districts because of adverse weather conditions
