The death toll from the severe blizzard that brought life to a standstill in a large part of the United States rose to 65. Buffalo police stated that many people were detained after looting in the city. Byron Brown, Mayor of the Buffalo city of the New York state, where 34 of the deaths were recorded, said that the storm was worse than anything in the city in more than 50 years.
Erie County official Mark Poloncarz reminded that a driving ban issued on Tuesday and that the National Guard was deployed to control.
