Snowstorm Triggers Multiple-Vehicle Crash In Michigan

A severe snowstorm caused a massive multiple-vehicle crash involving about 100 vehicles on I-96 in Ottawa County, Michigan, forcing the highway to close for hours. Michigan authorities reported numerous injuries but no fatalities as icy conditions led cars and trucks, including more than 30 semi-trailers, to collide. Stranded drivers were evacuated by bus to a nearby school as cleanup operations continued. Eyewitness Pedro Mata Jr. said visibility was extremely poor, adding, “I could see what was happening in front of me. I couldn’t see exactly what was happening behind me.”
