Elon Musk’s space transportation company SpaceX sent 2 internet satellites into space as part of the SES O3b mPOWER mission. The Falcon-9 rocket carrying the satellites of the Luxembourg-based telecommunications company, SES, was successfully launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida at 17:48 local time.
It was noted that Falcon-9’s first-stage booster will land on an unmanned platform in the Atlantic Ocean after launch.
The satellites, which were produced by the American aviation company Boeing, will provide internet service to densely populated parts of the world based on SES’s O3b network.
