Spanish farmers held a protest against European agricultural policies outside the Basque Regional Parliament in Vitoria, Basque Country.
European farmers are opposing the pesticide and herbicide bans in the EU’s Green Deal and a new agreement to import more beef from Brazil and Argentina. They state that it is extremely difficult to compete with these countries because they do not adhere to strict rules regarding animal welfare, and they are crushed by the increase in production costs, strict environmental regulations, and unfair competition.
