Sub-zero temperatures turned Spil Mountain National Park in western Türkiye white with frost and ice despite the absence of snowfall. Temperatures dropped to -12°C at night, coating trees and rocky areas with thick ice and creating glacier-like views at higher elevations. Authorities warned drivers and hikers about icy roads, noting freezing conditions will continue. The cold also affected wildlife, with birds struggling to find food under the ice. Visitors hoping to see snow left disappointed.
