The Caribbean island of St Vincent authorities have ordered evacuations due to possible eruption at the La Soufriere volcano in the northern part of the island.
The area scorched by last month’s deadly forest fires in South Korea has been revised to 104,000 hectares—more than double initial estimates. The Korean Forestry Service reported extensive damage across South and North Gyeongsang provinces and Ulsan, with Uiseong suffering the worst losses.
The fires, which began on March 21, killed at least 31 people and are now considered the most destructive wildfires in the country’s history.
