One year has passed since Russia’s war against Ukraine. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, presented the state medals to the members of the army and their relatives at the ceremony held in front of St. Sophia’s Cathedral in Kiev. Zelenskyy expressed his appreciation to the fighters who are presently defending their country, bringing victory closer and assisting Ukraine in overcoming its difficulties.

“You are our most important person who stands and thanks to whom millions of Ukrainians stand. Who will endure and thanks to whom Ukraine will endure! Thanks to you, glory to Ukraine!” Zelensky said.

During the 30-minute ceremony, a minute’s silence was held for the Ukrainian soldiers who lost their lives in the war.
