A severe storm caused severe destruction in the Crimea region of Ukraine and Russia. Three people lost their lives in the Crimea region, where a state of emergency was declared. In Russia, approximately 2 million people were left without electricity. The storm was recorded as the strongest one in the last 16 years.

Fighting broke out in the Abu Selim area between El-Kikli’s group and forces linked to the Defense Ministry.
Libya’s National Unity Government confirmed its forces regained control of the district. Emergency teams evacuated trapped civilians, and schools in the capital were closed due to security concerns.
Libya remains divided between rival governments in the east and west since the fall of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
