In Türkiye, a training plane from Izmir’s Selçuk district made an emergency landing at Aydın Çıldır Airport after experiencing engine failure. Student pilot Mehmet Tülüoğlu maintained composure and followed procedures, successfully landing the aircraft. The incident, captured on camera, occurred during a training flight to Denizli Çardak Airport when the engine malfunctioned and stopped over Aydın. Tülüoğlu’s calm and controlled landing ensured a safe outcome.
Firefighting teams continue to battle a forest fire in the Yeşilyurt Neighborhood of Muğla’s Menteşe district. Four helicopters and ground crews are intervening in the dense forest area. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
Meanwhile, Izmir Governor Süleyman Elban announced that fires in Çeşme and Ödemiş have been largely contained. Visiting the fire zone in Çeşme, Elban said, “There are no casualties or injuries. Despite winds reaching 85 km/h and shifting directions, teams have confined the flames. We hope to bring it fully under control soon.”
