Supporters of former Pakistani PM Khan clash with police

Protests erupted when two arrest warrants were issued for Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chairman of the Pakistan Justice Movement (PTI) Party. After police had come to Khan’s house in Lahore to arrest him at around 14:00 local time, a clash broke out between the police and demonstrators. The police used water cannons and tear gas to disperse the angry crowd that threw stones at them. At least eight police officers were hurt during the clash and numerous demonstrators were detained.
