A female patient in Osmaniye, Türkiye, suffering from persistent abdominal pain and nausea, sought medical attention at various health centers without relief. Subsequently, she visited a private health institution where Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Turgay Güler conducted examinations, revealing the presence of a foreign object in her stomach. The patient, scheduled for surgery, underwent the procedure performed by Assistant Professor of General Surgery Dr. Seçkin Aküçük. The surgery successfully removed two hair masses, each measuring 12-13 centimeters, from the patient’s stomach, along with three hair masses, each 10 centimeters long, from her small intestine, totaling 2 kilograms. The 40-year-old patient is reported to be in good health post-surgery and is expected to be discharged in the coming days.
