suspension bridge collapses during opening in Mexico

A pedestrian suspension bridge collapsed in Porfirio Daz Park in Cuernavaca, Mexico while people were crossing. People fell to ground from meters high, including Cuernavaca Mayor Jose Luis Uriostegui and his wife as he went there to inaugurate the new wooden bridge. A total of 25 people were injured, including Cuernavaca Mayor Jose Luis Uriostegui and his wife. Eight of the injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance. It was reported that serious fractures were detected in the bodies of 2 people, including Salgado’s wife.
