In Switzerland, a knife and axe-wielding Iranian attacker took 15 people hostage on a train in Essert-sous-Champvent. The police, alerted by passengers, intervened after negotiations failed, and approximately 60 officers successfully rescued the hostages unharmed. The 32-year-old asylum seeker was shot and killed during the police raid. Although the motive remains unclear, an investigation by the regional prosecutor’s office is underway to determine any possible terrorism links.
Damage to Iranian State TV Building From Israel’s Strike Revealed
New footage has revealed the extent of the damage to the “Glass Building” on the Iran Broadcasting Corporation (IRIB) campus, which was targeted by Israel in its June 16 airstrike on Tehran. The explosion left much of the structure unusable—walls were destroyed, windows shattered, and interior items scattered. According to the statement released after the attack, three journalists lost their lives and many others were injured.
