Syrian Army Launches Major Deployment to Protect Aleppo From SDF Attacks

The Syrian army has deployed large-scale forces around Aleppo and nearby rural areas to prevent potential attacks by the SDF, the Syrian branch of the PKK/YPG. According to state media, army units reinforced front lines near Meskene and Deir Hafer and warned that any SDF action would face a strong response. The military also declared areas west of the Euphrates River a “military zone,” ordering armed groups to withdraw east of the river and urging civilians to avoid these areas.
