The Syrian Embassy in London reopened after 13 years during a ceremony attended by Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Hassan Shaybani. The embassy had been closed since 2012 following the outbreak of the Syrian civil war.
Raising the Syrian flag, Shaybani said on social media that Syria is “returning to the world with its free identity” after years of isolation under the former Assad regime.
