Syrians who took refugees in Türkiye continue to return to their country following the collapse of the Assad regime.
“We had a wonderful time in Polatlı, Ankara. I would like to thank the people of Polatlı from here. We have had wonderful friendships and camaraderie during this time. My 4 children were born here. I thank everyone who supported us. They took care of us; we will never forget that. Syria is your second country. Don’t forget that,” Syrian Mustafa Serhan said, waiting at the Öncüpınar Customs Gate in Kilis, Türkiye, to cross to Syria.
