Deputy Minister of Information and Culture, and spokesman of Taliban Zabibullah Mujahid announced 2 new names to the cabinet as part of forming an inclusive cabinet efforts. The two new members were named ethnic Tajik Haji Nurettin Azizi from the province of Penjshir, who was appointed to the Ministry of Commerce, and Doctor Qalandar Ebad appointed to the Ministry of Health. Zabihullah Mujahid also made a statement about the economic crisis of the country, and added that the problems would be resolved in the recovery of the national income.
Russia has handed over the bodies of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers in exchange for 19 Russian soldiers as part of an agreement reached during peace talks in Istanbul.
Russian Vice President Vladimir Medinsky stated, “As a continuation of the Istanbul agreements, we returned 1,000 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers today and received the bodies of 19 of our own. May they all rest in peace in their homeland.”
The Kremlin confirmed that the exchange follows the second round of peace talks held in June in Istanbul. According to Russian state agency TASS, the transfer marks the beginning of a broader process to return 3,000 Ukrainian soldiers’ bodies.
