Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) Speaker Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şentop paid an official visit to Doha, the capital of Qatar. TBMM Speaker Şentop and his accompanying Parliamentary Delegation were welcomed in Doha by the Qatar Shura Council Secretary-General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Ibrahim Al Fadala and Turkey’s Ambassador to Doha Mehmet Mustafa Göksu. Speaker Şentop was received by the Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and later on he met with the Qatar Shura Council Speaker Hassan bin Abdulla Al-Ghanim.

As part of his contacts today, Şentop will meet with the Prime Minister of Qatar and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdul Aziz al-Thani. It’s envisaged that Şentop will also visit the Doha Institute and give a speech on “Towards a New World: Friendships, Alliances, and Collaborations”.

During his visit to Qatar, Speaker Şentop is accompanied by Chairman of the Turkey-Qatar Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group and AK Party Bitlis Deputy Vahit Kiler, Chairman of the Turkey-United Arab Emirates (UAE) Parliamentary Friendship Group and AK Party Siirt Deputy Osman Ören, AK Party Konya Deputy Selman Özboyacı, CHP Hatay Deputy Serkan Topal, MHP Istanbul Deputy Hayati Arkaz, İYİ Party Eskişehir Deputy Arslan Kabukçuoğlu.
