Thailand’s mesmerizing ‘Floating Lantern Festival’, Loy Krathong, drew crowds to Bangkok’s parks and canals, where locals and foreigners immersed themselves in tradition. Donning traditional attire, Thai people released handcrafted ‘krathong’ lanterns into water bodies, making wishes under the night sky. The festival showcased stunning, eco-friendly designs made from banana leaves, lotus flowers, and recyclable materials like coconut shells and fish food. Celebrating Thai culture, the Tourism Minister highlighted its role in revitalizing tourism post-pandemic. As the festivities concluded, the Bangkok Municipality reported collecting 640 thousand lanterns, with a whopping 96.7% being recyclable.
