Foreign search and rescue teams who have completed their work in the disaster areas in Türkiye are returning to their countries. The Thai search and rescue team, consisting of 42 personnel and 2 dogs, was greeted by Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and Türkiye’s Ambassador to Bangkok, Serap Aksoy, at Suvarnabhumi Airport in the capital, Bangkok, in the morning.

“As the Thai people and government, we are very sorry for the disaster in Türkiye. We are grateful to the search and rescue team of 42 people from Thailand and the organizations of all countries that stand by Türkiye in such a devastating disaster,” said PM Chan-o-cha, after handing out medals to the rescue team personnel.

On the other hand, the 36 Thai citizens who were affected by the earthquakes were brought back to their countries.

Kremlin Confirms Pause in Russia-Ukraine Peace Talks

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said peace talks between Russia and Ukraine have been suspended, noting that while communication channels remain open, “it would be more accurate to say there has been a pause.”

Peskov accused European countries of obstructing dialogue but insisted Moscow remains ready for negotiations.

Russia and Ukraine held three rounds of direct talks this year in Istanbul, leading to prisoner exchanges but little progress toward ending the war.
