One of the largest annual green gatherings, Earth Day Expo, or Earthx, kicked off yesterday in Dallas, Texas, to raise awareness about environmental and sustainability-related issues in the world. Numerous students showed interest in attending this year’s version of the event, which has brought together corporations, academic institutions, government organizations, environmental groups, interactive programs, and subject matter experts since its founding in 2011. The event offers youngsters a variety of entertaining activities, such as gardening, playing virtual reality, and playing games.

A shooting at a secondary school in Graz, Austria, left 10 people dead, including the attacker, and several others injured. Police launched an operation after gunfire was reported and confirmed that students and teachers were among the wounded.
Graz Mayor Elke Kahr said the suspect died by suicide. Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker called it a national tragedy, mourning the young victims and their teacher.
Local media reported the attacker was a 22-year-old former student, but officials have not confirmed the identity.
