In Turkey, the Mesopotamian plan was introduced at the ceremony held at the Şanlıurfa Archeology Museum. GAP Regional Tourism Oriented Promotion and Branding Project, which was initiated to ensure increase in employment and income from tourism, and giving a healthier and sustainable character to tourism activities in the southeastern region of Turkey, will transform into a global brand with the name of Mesopotamia. The Mesopotamian logo was also introduced at the ceremony following regional music and dance show.

Beyzanur Akkuş of Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club claimed the gold medal in the women’s 65 kg category at the U20 European Wrestling Championship in Caorle, Italy. Akkuş defeated Russian wrestler Margarita Salnazarian in the final match.
