Tens of thousands of people in Israeli-occupied Jerusalem staged a massive protest against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, demanding early elections. The demonstrators gathered outside the Israeli parliament (Knesset), waving Israeli flags and chanting “Election now.” They also voiced concerns about the unequal application of compulsory military service, particularly criticizing the exemption of ultra-Orthodox Jewish theology students. Israeli media described this protest as the largest since the Gaza attacks began.
Nurit Robinson, a 74-year-old protester, criticized the government’s performance, calling it a “complete failure.”
Following the protest, demonstrators set up over 100 tents near the Knesset, planning to continue their protest for four days. The tent encampment stretched between the Knesset and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
