Protests were held in nearly 200 cities in France against the government policies pursued by President Emmanuel Macron. The unions announced 1-day strike across the country, and demanded better working conditions in the public and private sectors, as well as increase in wages for pensioners, employees, and public workers. Demonstrators called on Macron to resign during the protests.

He recalled that Istanbul hosted the first round on May 16 and said Russia will continue to demand the repeal of laws in Ukraine that restrict the Russian language, culture, and the Russian-linked Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Lavrov reiterated that Ukraine’s neutral status remains a key demand in peace efforts.
