Three mosques in Hanover, Germany, were attacked over two days, with windows smashed and “IDF” along with pro-Israel slogans spray-painted on their walls. The targeted mosques belong to DİTİB and IGMG, two major Turkish-Islamic organizations.
Mosque associations alerted police and requested stronger protection. Turkish officials also called for increased security.
AK Party official Zafer Sırakaya condemned the attacks as “Islamophobic and racist,” urging German authorities to find the perpetrators. An investigation is ongoing.
