The number of deaths due to severe tornadoes in various areas in the middle and eastern parts of the US rose to 34, reported US authorities.
Eight of the deaths occurred in the Kansas state, where over 50 cars were involved in a crash because of a dust storm.
Residents living in the risky areas were advised to take shelter in sturdy structures and avoid going outside.
