Former Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs, and Communications Ahmet Arslan, who met with tourism operators at a hotel in Kars, stated that the Eastern Express continues to operate and that plans are being made for the Touristic Eastern Express to resume operations. Arslan stated that the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoglu, will announce the start date of the Touristic Eastern Express train services in the coming days. “There is no doubt that we will begin it on a date that will not have a negative impact on winter tourism. This is critical for both us and the people. To avoid cancellations of reservations for our guests who will use the train as part of their winter vacation, the date will hopefully be announced in a few days. I’d like to thank Karaismailoglu and his team for that,” Arslan said.
