The hotel occupancy rates in Bursa’s Uludağ, where the snow depth on the tracks reached 45 centimeters, peaked ahead of the semester break. Thousands of local and foreign tourists flocked to the slopes with their ski equipment to enjoy the winter by skiing and snowboarding next to an astonishing view.
“The occupancy rate in hotels has reached 50 percent. It’s a good time to learn skiing right now; the snow thickness and weather conditions are good. We are waiting for all holidaymakers,” said Selim Adıyaman, ski teacher and manager.
“We live in Germany. When we heard that it was snowing in Uludağ two days ago, we immediately bought our tickets and came to Uludağ for the holiday,” said Ebru Akkuş.
