A freight train consisting of 58 wagons derailed on the Shalkar-Zhem railway line in the Aktobe region in western Kazakhstan. A written statement from the Kazakhstan Railway Company mentioned that 8 wagons derailed in the accident. There were no casualties or injuries reported, and repair work is ongoing at the scene. A special commission has been formed to investigate the cause of the accident.
