TRNC President Ersin Tatar and Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz commemorated the 40th anniversary of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus by laying a wreath at the Nicosia Atatürk Monument. The ceremony, held at the monument to mark the establishment of the TRNC, included the solemn presentation of wreaths followed by a moment of silence and the raising of flags while the National Anthem played.
Türkiye’s Presidency of Religious Affairs won first prize at the “Diamond” level in the “Most Successful Hajj Organization” category at the Lebbeytum Awards in Mecca. Organized by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the award evaluated over 100 countries.
President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş said the award recognized excellence in planning, pilgrim satisfaction, education, and innovation. He noted this was Türkiye’s third win in three years and thanked all staff involved, vowing continued high-quality service for pilgrims.
