The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) celebrated its 41st anniversary with nationwide events and a military parade on Dr. Fazıl Küçük Boulevard in Lefkoşa. Vice President of Türkiye, Cevdet Yılmaz, attended the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of the TRNC’s foundation as a step toward independence.
Yılmaz conveyed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s greetings and declared, “The TRNC remains the only legitimate state on the island of Cyprus.” He praised the resilience of Turkish Cypriots, stating, “Despite centuries of challenges, Turkish Cypriots have preserved their culture and identity, standing firm for sovereignty and independence.”
As part of celebrations, an official parade was held on Dr. Fazıl Küçük Boulevard in Lefkoşa.
