The Ana tropical storm, which was effective in the central and northern regions of the African country Mozambique on Monday, caused damage to homes, schools, hospitals and workplaces, while many regions were plunged into darkness as a result of the toppling of electricity poles. In Tete province, 6 people lost their lives under the rubble. A bridge over the Rovubwe river in the state collapsed in the storm. In the statement made by local sources, the loss of life increased to 15 in the regions where the storm was effective across the country.
Authorities said that the storm has lost its effect, but that thunderstorms and strong winds will continue to be effective in the central and northern regions of the country.
