The incident broke out as the trailer allegedly went out of control and skidded off the road and crashed into the two cars in the opposite lane.

Gendarmerie and medical teams were sent to the scene upon the notice of Doğanşehir Mayor Durali Zelyurt, who also gave first aid to the injured.

The truck driver was taken into custody and the accident is being investigated.

Forest Fire in Izmir Brought Under Control

The forest fire that began in İzmir’s Aliağa district and spread to Foça has been brought under control after intense aerial and ground efforts. A second fire in Bozköy, which started near industrial facilities, also threatened residential areas, prompting evacuations.

Six aircraft, five helicopters, and dozens of land vehicles responded. The fire reportedly began from burning garbage, and one suspect has been detained. Cooling operations continue in the region.
