Trump Declares Mourning for Pope Francis

US President Donald Trump has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff across the country and at US facilities abroad in honor of Pope Francis, who died at 88.

Trump announced the measure as a sign of respect, directing all public buildings, federal lands, military and naval bases, and diplomatic missions to comply until the Pope’s burial. He also confirmed that he and First Lady Melania Trump will attend the funeral in Rome.
